Okay,
Need for Speed: Shift has already been Number 1 in the UK game charts. But this isn't stopping EA pushing it some more with a demo due to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 1st - prior to the USA launch of the game in November.
Here's what you get to drive:
1. BMW M3 (E46)
2. 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10
3. 2006 Lotus Elise 111R
4. 2008 Nissan GT-R
5. 2006 Pagani Zonda F (unlockable)
Now, let's hope that unlike at least one copy of the Xbox 360 retail release, the demo doesn't try to access... the PlayStation store. That's right, over at
Freakbits, it's being reported that:
"EA’s new Need for Speed Shift is the most bug-ridden piece of code I have witnessed in recent times. But when the Xbox 360 version seemed to want to access the Playstation Store today, things had clearly gone too far."
We must also hope that the various bugs
reported over at EA are also smashed to death. These include, for the PC version at least:
"My car won’t move from the Start Line!!!!!!", "What’s up with tuning?" and "My game hangs on the Driver Safety screen when I boot up the game."
