EA: FIFA 10 - No F***ing Chanting

Oh, come on! Every real football fan knows that one of the pleasures of actually turning up to a game is being able to let rip with all the invective and foul-mouthed jokery that's been building up all week. Apparently, in the brave new world of EA Sports, however, having clever and grown-up chants from the fans is a total no-no.

Jeff Macpherson, audio director for FIFA 10, tells the BBC.

"We're all native English-speakers... we were unaware of some of the content that was going out there into the games, so we've made sure that there's a more rigorous process around screening these chants so that no parents out there are going to be upset with us."

It's enough to make you swear.
