Sega has announced that there are only 700,000 Dreamcast consoles left in the world. This follows strong sales across all major gaming territories in recent times, stemming from the massive reduction in the machine’s price.
The Dreamcast became so cheap and was so good that it became rude not to buy one. So, after ignoring the machine since its launch, the gaming public toddled off to the shops and got involved.

Over one and a half million units have been shifted in the past three months.
