In anticipation of the launch of DiRT 2 next week (which Codemasters is already calling 'triumphant') we've had a video sent in our direction. It''s called Jump Jam.
Yeah, it's a stupid name, but there's an explanation for it. We're told that, "As the critically-acclaimed game prepares to leap from store shelves next week, Ken Block, multi medal-winning Subaru Rally Team USA driver and Colin McRae: DiRT 2 Technical Consultant, will be wowing fans as he headlines this weekend’s Trax 2009 at Silverstone, the legendary home of British Motorsport. The ‘DiRT 2 Ken Block Jump Jam’ will feature the stunt driving sensation taking on a death-defying 100 foot jump in front of thousands of spectators."
So that's why the video has a stupid name. We don't really know why the event has a stupid name. As it happens the video bears a remarkable similarity to the opening of the game. Just watch the video, eh?
