Rare on GameBoy Advance

Banjo-Kazooie once more.

Those talented fellows down at Rare have released further details of Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge for Game Boy Advance.

For the third instalment, bad witch Gruntilda is seeking revenge (hence the title) on the cheeky bird and the stupid bear. Her super-sized grudge prompts her to create a time machine that will undo the events that occurred in the previous two Nintendo 64 games. Nothing new there, then.

Grunty’s Revenge is a 2D-platformer, and will feature a similar perspective seen in the 8 and 16-bit Zelda games. The visuals will be enhanced and highly detailed as far as Game Boy Advance is concerned, boasting six new worlds and several more end-of-level bosses. Rare looks set to make the game extremely, and typically, challenging, making it taxing to players of any skill level.

A release date for the game has not yet been confirmed, but Easter 2002 is likely.
