Sony’s and Polyphony’s A-list title, GT3 A-Spec, went on sale to an eager audience at the weekend (7th July) in America. The game, in development for some three years, finally hit the West after passing sales of one million units in Japan. Sales figures are unconfirmed at present, but a complete sell out of the initial US shipment is likely to be announced by Sony later this week.

Meanwhile, the European release for GT3 still stands at July 20th. As per usual, the delay, as minimal as it is, has been blamed on localisation of the game. GT3 is expected to release on UK shores for around £40. A price for the accompanying GT3 Force Feedback wheel however, retailing for $99 dollars in the States, has yet to be confirmed. If typical industry strategies are to believed, a £99 price tag is likely for the UK. The game is also expected to be bundled with the PS2 hardware for a pleasing £300.

We’ll bring you full UK price and package details as we get them.
