It’s not that surprising that SquareSoft is predicting massive sales of its killer PlayStation 2 RPG Final Fantasy X to exceed anything seen before.
Thus far, the series on the PlayStation has sold a whopping 33.29 million units, and Final Fantasy X is set to further consolidate this impressive figure.
After a mauling by Japanese shareholders, Square was relieved to announce that FF X has already reached pre-orders of over two million in Japan, with the company expecting to sell four million in the months after sale.
Square also estimates that it will shift a further 11 million copies across the world.
In other news, the motion picture, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is expected to make $80 million in the US alone.
