Despite legal worries that threatened to kill it, a planned Left 4 Dead mod that sees a campaign take place across key locations from the RomZomCom, Shaun of the Dead - such as The Winchester pub - lives on.
The project, called Left 4 Winchester - showed signs of sinking into the grave when one of the main mappers started to get the willies about legal issues concerning basing the campaign on a film. If said mapper decided to depart his work could go too, according to an update on the project's home page. But all hope of slinging vinyl at the undead is not lost! The project lead, Biohaz4rd, cheerfully told zConnection, “we are still hard at work on it”.
Left 4 Winchester will feature key maps spanning locations from the film, including Shaun's Pad, Mum's House, Lizz's Flat, To the Winchester and Survive the Winchester. More details here.
