Konami has apparently told French website, GameKyo, that it is to drop the much-loved --- oh who are we kidding, the hugely clunky --- Konami ID for online play with PES 2010.
"Henceforth, the parties will be hosted directly on the servers of Sony and Microsoft and there will be little need to register to play online," says the report, which might nearly be enough to cheer up Manchester United fans following the departure of Chrissy'R (it could possibly also cheer Man City fans over the non-departure of Mark Hughes).
