We recently brought you the news that SCE was releasing a kit that enables the hobbyist coder to develop PlayStation 2 applications using Linux, the open source operating system.
The units sold out in ten minutes, such was the massive scale of demand.
It is widely acknowledged that the PlayStation 2 is one of the worst machines to have to develop games for, with only the Sega Saturn and its crazy processor set-up causing more complaints.
Sony Computer Entertainment has just announced that a further 300 units have become available to anyone interested in a bit of DIY gaming.
To register for a kit you need to apply to Sony at this URL: http://www.ps2linux.com/
