It would seem that we were the only people to listen to what Capcom officials were saying at E3 earlier this year. Hidden away amongst the company’s literature and release schedules, was mention of Streetfighter Alpha 3 for the Game Boy Advance. This meant that while all other game sites were wetting their knickers over the remake of Super Turbo, we were telling you about the good stuff.

Then we heard nothing from Capcom about the project for weeks, until today, when it was announced that Alpha 3 would make up part of the Capcom titles published by Ubi Soft in Europe. Hooray!

“We are very pleased to inaugurate a new partnership with a video game giant like Capcom,” Said Alain Corre of Ubi Soft. “This agreement strengthens Ubi Soft's catalogue of leading brands on the very promising Game Boy Advance format. This will let a very broad public become acquainted - or reacquainted - with these exceptional games on a portable format, with gaming quality close to that of a home console.”

The deal also includes other Capcom classics such as Mega Man, Breath of Fire and Final Fight, but it must be said that these games pale in significance when placed on the same release schedule as Alpha 3.
