More Sony sales figures handbag swinging
Nintendo announced recently that the Game Boy Advance has become the fastest selling system of all time. Sony took exception to this and claimed it had sold more PlayStation 2’s. Then Nintendo tried to argue the point, quoting that the figures used by Sony were not reflective of the market.

Today Sony has another bite back releasing an official statement:

“While Nintendo must be commended for the sales of its machine, in reality the PlayStation 2 sold three times as fast when it was initially launched, and we could have sold as many as three times the amount we achieved had we anticipated the demand. Also worth pointing out is that the PlayStation 2 cannot really be compared with the Game Boy Advance, due to the different price brackets of the systems. The PlayStation 2 is a complete multimedia package, and costs four times as much; it's pointless even making a direct comparison...”

They really do need to understand that we simply do not care. As long as the hardware is of high quality and is supported by varied, top-notch games, we are not bothered.
