Following some years in the wilderness in terms of Final Fantasy for Nintendo, E3 '09 sees the company "announce" a couple of games we were already aware of and a couple of new ones.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers is coming for Wii as we have known for a long time. The game combines the much loved Final Fantasy universe and characters with a real-time action gameplay style.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2Days is a DS exclusive set in the Squenix/Disney universe. Based around Roxas, the "other" hero from Kingdom Hearts 2, 258/2 Days is set in the the year that Sora spent asleep regaining his lost memories.

Final Fantasy 4: The After Years for Wii is a real sequel to the classic Super NES title, Final Fantasy IV. The game is an episodic download title exclusively available via the WiiWare on-line service. A new multi-player mode will enable users to play co-operatively with up to three friends.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord is the latest instalment in the FFCC series, and in a twist, challenges players to take the role of the villain in order to try and take over the world.

A veritable feast for Nintendo-owning JRPG fans. SPOnG will be bringing you previews and reviews of these games as they drop.
