As promised by a mysterious Famitsu ad, something Kojima Productions-related has happened on what was formerly a dead web page. There's not, frankly, as much information as you might have hoped. The page has, unshockingly, turned into a teaser website, which features a timer set to end in three and a half days and a number - '5'.
Or is that the letter 'S'? For
Snatcher?
It's been a year since
Metal Gear Solid 4 was released and five is the number after four, so an
MGS sequel is, of course, a strong possibility. Rumour, speculation and probably the entrails of a goat somewhere, suggest that the star of
MGS5 will be Raiden, protagonist of
MGS2. Raiden apparently means thunder and lightening. There's some of that on the teaser site. It's reaching, we know, but there's very little to go on right now.
The teaser site was heralded by an ad that appeared in Japanese gaming bible
Famitsu last week. It's
not the only thing to have generated some rumoury about MGS in the last week.
You can see the teaser
here.
