Once upon a time there was a
mystery surrounding what, exactly, a trademark for a game called
Dragon Quest Wars was all about. The mystery is over. It's a DSiWare board game.
It sounds pretty straightforward - a two player release in which players shuffle Akira Toriyama-designed monster pieces around a board. Players will be able to duke it out in a mindful, ponderous manner over Wi-Fi.
It's supposed to be one of those 'easy to learn, difficult to master' jobs.
Interestingly, the game is being developed by Nintendo-owned Intelligent Systems, the dev most famous for
Fire Emblem.
It'll cost 500 Wii Points. Mention of a June release is floating about, but it's unclear whether that applies to the UK.
