Further Hints: Lord of the Rings Online for Xbox 360

Pricing revealed?

A survey has popped up adding further weight to rumours about Lord of the Rings Online heading to the Xbox 360, revealing the potential price structure in the process.

The survey asks a number of questions, including, "Assuming that you liked the content and theme of this Lord of the Rings MMO for the Xbox 360, how likely would you be to purchase the game for $59.99, plus pay a monthly subscription of $12.99?"

It goes on to solicit responses relating to how much players would be prepared to stump up for additional downloadable content ranging from player versus player maps and character classes to new items of clothing.

A survey, of course, is not proof that a game is coming to market. Questions about such fine details as price, however, suggest that LOTRO for the 360 is a serious proposition.

As for that pricing model, however - that might be a sticking point. A Destructoid story early in the year said that the game was well underway but Turbine was unhappy that Microsoft won't allow a free-to-play model for subscription.

What is confirmed is that Turbine is, in some capacity, eyeing up console gaming.
