You've seen some retro LEGO game images... now it's time to come up to date: LEGO Battles for the Nintendo DS. It's spring-like freshness is enough to bring a smile to the most jaded of faces.
It's published by Warners; it's developed by Hellbent Games and produced by TT Games, and it's based on LEGO Space, LEGO Castle, and LEGO Pirates.
It's got six "distinct" storylines, 90 levels, 55 playable characters and 30 different vehicles... and we're told that "players can build their own LEGO bases and teams, mixing and matching units to create their own customized squad. Players can also team up against their friends in the multiplayer mode, through the wireless DS multi-card play."
Sweet.
