Following this morning's story in which a Scottish newspaper apparently broke the news that Colin McRae's family had pre-announced a new, 'commemorative', Colin McRae racing game from Codemasters, we asked the UK-based publisher and developer to clarify.
"We believe this is a misunderstanding in the article. The forthcoming game Colin McRae DiRT 2 will include a tribute to Colin but we’re not going into further details as to specifics on this right now."
So, would the mainstream professionals like The Daily Record really misquote the McRae family? Surely the mainstream wouldn't. Either way, no additional McRae game.
