Silent Hill for Wii Has No Combat?

Game confirmed. Oh dear, it's another 'reimagining'

So, the right-thinking folks who believe that the Wii is a Holy Icon meant to bring families together in the same way as nuclear fallout shelters did in the 1950s are going to be disappointed once again. Yes, the Wii is going to be drenched in survival horror with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

Producer Tomm Hulett tells Nintendo Power magazine in the USA that, "This is a reimagining of the first Silent Hill."

What?! Is it a new game using Silent Hill material or isn't it? What the blazers is a 're-imagining', Tomm?

"It’s not a remake or a port. That’s an important distinction. It really feels like a new game."

So, it's a new game but it isn't?

One thing it won't have, apparently, is combat. One poster on the Official Nintendo site states, "There's a better emphasis on survival in this game, when an enemy see's you you better run and while trying to escape you can climb over fences, jump through windows and barricade doors. Essentially your character is helpless."

That'll keep some of the right-thinking folk happy.
