Colin McRae: DiRT 2 Gets Trailered

Ken Block signs on

Codemasters has announced that it has Ken Block, winner of numerous medals in rally racing (and DC shoes co-founder), is on board for Colin McRae: DiRT 2. Block will serve as a technical consultant on the game.

Block raced with McRae in the X Games and has made a bit of a name for himself doing rally stunts.

“Colin McRae is one of the main reasons that I am a rally driver. He is a big inspiration to me and the way I drive my rally car”, said Block. “It’s really an honour to be a contributor to the creation of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and to be able to continue the passion that Colin had for rally and for these videogames.”

Codies is apparently dead keen to showcase the fact that DiRT 2 comes with added 'extreme'. You might have seen the teaser last week which showed just what a grimy, rock 'n' roll life style rally drivers have (and not a lot of the game). This video similarly features several vaguely attractive women, a rawk soundtrack and some suitably attitude-y poses (and not a lot of the game). You can see it below.

In case you're doubting Block's qualifications for working on the game, you can see a list of his accomplishments further down the page.
