Unreal Championship shaping up for Xbox: Blistering new screens
New Unreal looks bloody good!
Infogrames has released some fantastic new shots of what is looking like the killer app for Microsoft’s beleaguered Xbox, Unreal Championship.
The game has been developed by Digital Extremes, the team jointly responsible for Unreal and Unreal Tournament on the PC, and is really looking good. Better, in fact, than it did just three weeks ago at E3.
We think that Unreal Championship is going to be the definitive first-person shooter, offering some new and completely unique features. For the first time in the series there will be vehicles included for your enjoyment, meaning that you will now be able to run over the competition as well as just shooting them in the head. Some of the vehicles will be flying types too!
Digital Extremes has also promised a wealth of new environments and characters, including new maps which are tightly engineered for different modes of online play.
Now for the important stuff. There will be a lounge-friendly four player split screen mode as well as online play supporting up to 32 players at any one time.
