It looks very much like The Sims 3 has slipped from its February launch date.
Following Eastern European retailers apparently changing the release date they have listed for the game, Electronic Arts has issued a statement giving the official line, "We are evaluating the launch window. The game looks great and in the near future we'll have more information."
It looks like "the near future" means next week. An EA rep said to SPOnG, "I know that (statement) doesn't tell you much unfortunately I am unable to say any more until Feb 3rd."
EA announced at the Leipzig Games Convention that The Sims 3 would be released worldwide on February 20th.
