Okay,
Command & Conquer is more newsworthy than non-fans might have expected. The venerable series has been cropping up quite a lot recently. First EA has definitely canned
C&C offshoot
Tiberium due to quality issues.
Next up a
C&C forum mod was threatening to
ban people from their own games before explaining that this would
not be the case. The declaration from mod, eaapoc, includes, "That said, the previous statement I made recently (that's being quoted on the blogs) was inaccurate and a mistake on my part. I had a misunderstanding with regards to our new upcoming forums and website and never meant to infer that if we ban or suspend you on the forums, you would be banned in-game as well. This is not correct, my mistake, my bad. "
Now an producer and C&C TV presenter David Silverman has explained that the PS3 version of
C&C Red Alert that many thought was not happening, is happening. In fact there are, "...definitely people working on a PS3 version and we'll be talking more about that later", says Silverman.
*. But no breath holding, however, as this 'later' means next year at the earliest.
