UK Video Game Charts: Xbox 360 vs PS3 - All Fallout
But PlayStation 2 rules the footy.
You can almost feel the crackle of Xmas excitement among our friends in retail. Yes, with the first Crimble songs being piped into stores throughout the country the race is officially on for FIFA 09 to hit the Number 1 spot come December 25th.
For now, however, it is another multi-platformer that snatches last week's Number 1 crown from Fable II. Yes, it seems that everybody loves a Post-Apocalyptic Dystopian Future with a 1950s feel to it (we certainly did) as Bethesda's Fallout 3 hits the top spot.
According to Chart-Track, it seems that Xbox 360 owners loved the game more than their PS3 or PC counterparts, with the figures breaking down as follows:
Xbox 360: 55%.
PS3: 28%.
PC: 17%
Surely this statistic will be enough to fuel some kind of pointless fanboy war of words? The only other new entry in the Top 10 comes in the form of James Bond: Quantum of Solace, the game of the film that wasn't a book.
Far Cry 2 - its African shootingness sadly mirroring events in the Congo - drops from Number 2 to Number 6. Aside from this, it's very much business as usual. One interesting point to note, however, concerns PES 2009 and the PS2.
According to Chart-Track, the PS2 version "...is this week’s top selling version of PES 2009, accounting for 38% of sales, ahead of PS3 and Xbox 360, both 30%".
Now, what to look forward to next week? Gears of something isn't it?

Screw Fallout 3, why the s**te is WiiFit and Mario Kart Wii still up there?
Whisk(e)y enhanced gaming is the new norm clearly. Wouldn't work on Fallout 3, you'll only see some big brownish blur and dismiss it as a turd. And what Whisk(e)y induced person would want to play with a turd...they only sleep in them and that's that.

I seriously think Bethesday should not make any more games for the PS3, with sales like that its a disgrace and so is the PC version, no doubt pirates causing such a slump in sales.

Sales like what? Even though the PS3 version only accounted for 28% of the total sales for Fallout 3, it was still the 5th best selling individual title last week and 4th based on value of sales.
The PC version was 12th in terms of sales, ahead of C&C: Red Alert 3 at 15. And both PS3 and PC versions of Fallout 3 were ahead of any version of Quantum of Solace.
I don't think either of them did too badly.
For reference, C&C:RA3 and QoS were both released last week too.

So you own both consoles and you buy the game for the platform with the best reviews, well you might as well get rid of the PS3 then since 360 games always get better reviews. Also the PS3 controller is s**t for racing games, fighting games, shooting games pretty much everything.

and the 360 pad was made for fps nothing more nothing less you a dick just coz you do not like it means f**k all many people love there ps3 like many people love there 360 like people love there wii there all good consoles there all have bad points they all got good points i shore that you must be a strong right hander with all your wanking you do over your 360 why do you just go and grow up come back when you have a POINT that is worth some thing and till that time shut up find a new site to fanboy s**t on

Most reviews prefer the 360 version true, but why would you tell me to get rid of my PS3 on the verge of LBP!! also i like to by the disney/kids games on PS3 as they arent bothered about acheivements but find the controller smaller and easier to hold, also, i WIll most liekly be buying FFXIII on PS3.

I see what your saying about the Disney stuff especially having a blu-ray player in there helps loads with the blu-ray movies and all.
In regards to LBP again in my opinion would be more appealing to a 5yo...
FF13 on the PS3 may feel better as FF series was made on the PS, but on the 360 well that should be interesting...
