Electronic Arts Now a Take-Over Target?
Not only is poor old Electronic Arts making noises about laying off members of its own staff (six per cent according to The International Herald Tribune) it could now, according to The Wall Street Journal, be a take-over target for Disney.

Disney, of course, according to Disney has already 'done a lot of the lifting' along with a Japanese company starting with an 'N' and ending in 'tendo' when it comes to expanding video games to casual gamers. It has money in the bank and, if the WSJ is to be believed, EA is looking like a tasty commercial treat what with about 11 billion dollars less than it was at its height.

This is all, of course, rumour and speculation... from The Wall Street Journal.

this deal doesnt sound that outlandish to me, Disney obviously have their paws in a vast number of entertainment sectors and the purchase of EA would be a great way for them to truly enter the video game sector...
