WoW launch 2007...
The World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King launch is nearly upon us - and if it's going to be anything like last year's Burning Crusade event, we wouldn't like to be policing London's Oxford Street. Frankly, what with London's Oxford Street being full of Londoners, we simply wouldn't want to have any part of it but that's another story.

Now, either Westminster Council members prefer their gaming of the PC, pseudo fairytale variety or there's been a change of policy or council members are all Xbox haters. You may recall that Halo 3's midnight launch in September 2007 was in fact cancelled by the council. You don't? Well read about it here. Not so for the King of Lich.

Activision tells us, "The launch event will take place at HMV in London at 150 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1DJ, with doors opening at 00:01 on the night of the 12th/13th November. As well as being among the first to acquire the expansion, attendees will have an opportunity to meet with COO Paul Sams and associate producer Lee Sparks, who will be present to welcome players and sign their copies."

Let's hope everybody dresses up nicely and things don't get nasty with people commenting adversely on other people's mighty axes called Garth.
