MCV has been told by Sony Entertainment Europe that the much-vaunted and
critically acclaimed PS3 exclusive, LittleBigPlanet, has been delayed in its territory.
The game, which was due in shops on October 24th, is now expected to be available to consumers on November 14th. No details are available at this time although an official release is expected.
Rumours are already rife regarding further tweaks to online, repackaging or bundling.
The Dark Zero site has picked up on a thread in the official PlayStation forum that refers to the use of text from the Qu'ran in a musical context. Apparently mixing the sacred text with music is according
to one poster, offensive.
The game, therefore, could be delayed in order to remove the song,
Tapha Niang by Toumani Diabate's Symmetrical Orchestra. This has definitely not been confirmed by any source.
LittleBigPlanet, is a huge deal for Sony and its PS3 - so we would expect all to be cleared up in the very near future.
