So, after a bunch of what can only be called outright cobblers doing the rounds about Grand Theft Auto IV DownLoadable Content (DLC) for the Xbox 360 being delayed until next year, Microsoft has confirmed something different.
"In autumn there will be news from Liberty City; the first episodes of GTA IV will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE...", says Microsoft. We don't know about you lot, but we reckon autumn starts in September.
Other news to emerge from Microsoft in the lead-up to the Leipzig Games Conference concerns:
Halo Wars the RTS where "the player has complete control of the battlefield". Release dates? Nope, but it will be on show in the former East Germany this week.
Also ready to be seen are:
"Singing party game" Lips to be released in November.
You’re in the Movies - "players are filmed acting out film roles, from a kung-fu fighter to a zombie using the Xbox Live Vision camera" - another November release.
Scene It? Box Office Smash - yes, the next of the movie quizzes. Another November release.
In terms of games for gamers, we've got more on Fable II, Too Human, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise.
And, yes, we do think that the Piñata games are for gamers.
