FIFA 09: What is Wayne Rooney Listening to?

In an utter shocker for former Evertonian, Wayne 'Wayney' Rooney, Electronic Arts has omitted any tracks by the Roonster's favourite over-rated band, The Stereophonics on the sound track for FIFA 09. The game, in the UK at least, is to have the more than adequately tempered ex-Blue scouser as its cover adornment.

We have not tried to contact Wayner for his comments on this total and utter tragedy of catastrophic proportions (see, we can adopt the same sense of perspective as sports writers). Although we will try to get hold of an even better Everton midfielder in the form of the genius who is Pat Nevin for his comment.

So, the point of this story is not simply to chat idly about the Roonic one (who we believe is now playing for some club with a strong support base down south... South Korea that is) but to show off musical playlist from the game that would beat PES.

It contains none of the music that once passed for standard footballer fare: Billy Ocean, Stiff Little Fingers, The Stereophonics, Whitney Huston, Mr Half-a-Dollar, Piff Doddy or even The Berlin Philharmonic plays Miles Davis' Bitches Brew (beloved of a handy, left-sided winger from Accrington Stanley whose name we forget).
