If several of Americashire's most prominent retailers are to be believed, the Xbox 360 version of
Rock Band 2 will be exclusive for just a smidge over a month. Release dates have cropped up for the game, showing that the PS3 version will be turning up hot on the heels of its 360 counterpart, with the Wii and PS2 versions not far behind.
If the retailers are to be believed the 360 version will be out on September 14th, the PS3 version will turn up on October 19th and the PS2 and Wii versions will be available from November 23rd.
While SPOnG's natural inclination is to be sceptical of release dates shown by retailers before publishers have made their announcements, these dates have shown up on the sites of EB Games, GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon. That's a lot of support for the dates. That said, they are all Sundays, with games traditionally being released on Tuesdays in the States.
Much was made of
Rock Band 2's timed exclusivity to the 360 when it was
announced, but if it turns out to only be for a month it's not really much to write home about, is it?
Not like over here, where
Rock Band's been out on the 360 since May and we still don't have a date for the PS3 version...
