The basic premise in Denki Blocks is to slide tiles around the playing area to either stick them together or make shapes as specified by the game. Gary Penn, formerly of Zzap 64 magazine, demoed the game for us and commented, “We wanted to make the ultimate break-time puzzler. The masses of modes and game options, as well as the fluid gameplay are the result of a solid years work. There are many puzzle games that under-perform, simply because the developers think that simple gameplay equals a simple game. Denki Blocks sets this straight.” DB will be released in the UK before anywhere else. When asked about acquiring a Japanese publisher, Penn said “The support we have received from the Japanese has been phenomenal. We think it will suit the market to a tee.”
