Jimi Hendrix, guitar legend, leftie (in a handed sense, not a political one), dead person and super-duper mega icon is set to appear in
Guitar Hero World Tour.
The songs
Purple Haze (a live version, recorded in 1969 at the San Diego Sports Arena) and
The Wind Cries Mary will feature of part of the disc set list. Activision says that more "exclusive" content will follow in downloadable form.
Additionally, Activision has secured the rights for Jimi's likeness and is putting him into the game as a playable character. This marks the first time Jimi has appeared in a music game. Two points to Activision in the Pretend-to-Play Music Wars.
