Remember yesterday when everybody and their aunt was absolutely stating that
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts would use a new Xbox 360 motion controller?
Sure you do. If not, you can
read about it here.
Anyway, as we thought, it's all rubbish. Rare's community manager, George Kellion, popped us over the following message:
"There's no truth to the
Banjo motion control rumour.
Banjo has been designed to be played using a gamepad from the outset.
"People shouldn't take rumours that gestate in comments sections so seriously. They can often turn out to be red herrings, as is the case with
Banjo and motion controls."
We also pointed out in yesterday's story that "We actually think he (Microsoft's George Lobb) meant that you twist one of the standard controller's analog sticks. The rest of the Interweb appears to think that he meant one would twist the entire controller."
Rare has also told
Joystiq, "Ken's comment is in reference to rotating the left analog stick while hitting the X-button to move different things in the game."
So, there you go then.
