No sooner has
Rock Band 2 been officially announced than rumours have started flying as to what's in store. US games TV show, X-Play, may have revealed nine of the songs that will appear in the boxed copy of the game.
The programme showed the game in action, with the screen you see to the right cropping up. Two of the songs have already appeared as downloadable content for
Rock Band, but the others are new. It's also worth noting that they appear with a '2' next to their names. To save you squinting at the screen, here's the list (SPOnG has inserted the band names):
*
Panic Attack - The Paddingtons
*
Chop Suey - System Of A Down
*
Give It Away - The Red Hot Chilli Peppers
*
Everlong - Foo Fighters
*
Kids in America - Kim Wilde (Well, unless we missed some lousy pop-punk cover version)
*
Ace of Spades - Motörhead
*
Hello There - Cheap Trick
*
Any Way You Want It - Journey
*
Pinball Wizard - The Who
The tracks remain unconfirmed by EA, Harmonix or MTV Games, with the companies having been tight-lipped on the subject of what we should expect. SPOnG would certainly like to spank the plank to
Everlong in
Rock Band 2, although
Chop Suey might prompt us to hide under the table...
Another band that will appear in
Rock Band 2,
if Age of Conan developer Funcom is to be believed, is 'deathpunk' band Turbonegro.
