Activision might not have said a right lot about its upcoming
James Bond game,
Quantum of Solace, but that hasn't stopped it letting the quantum of screens below into the world.
What we do know about the game seems to be at the very least not too upsetting. Treyarch, the developer behind
Call of Duty: World at War, is taking point on development. It will use the
Call of Duty 4 game engine, which seems like a damn fine place to start. As well as featuring action from
Quantum of Solace, the previous Bond outing
Casino Royale is going to be featured in the title
†. It's probably just as well, since there doesn't seem to actually be all that much action in these new-fangled
Bond films.
You may have noticed that SPOnG hasn't mentioned how utterly ridiculous the title
Quantum of Solace is. We think we've done a pretty good job of not drawing your attention to the fact that - despite sounding really small it is often used to mean something really big - a quantum is actually an indeterminate measure. Don't get us onto quantum numbers...
Anyway, here are the screens.
