Limited Edition
Konami has confirmed that Europe will get the Limited Edition package of Metal Gear Solid 4, as well as the pre-order initiative that will see gamers getting a free Metal Gear DVD.
The Limited Edition package will come complete with a 6' Old Snake action figure, as well as a 'Making Of' Blu-ray disc. On that disc you'll find “two high-definition documentaries which offer a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the development of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, with interviews with series creator Hideo Kojima and key Kojima Productions personnel.” The package will carry a recommended retail price of £79.99.
Pre-order customers, meanwhile, will get the Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 DVD. Of the DVD, we're told by Konami, “This seven-part documentary details the origins of previous Metal Gear games and the evolution of Hideo Kojima’s epic series.”
The pre-order campaign and Limited Edition package have both been confirmed for the US previously. No mention has been made of the figure for US gamers, however.
“Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is rightly seen as the stand-out title for 2008, and we were determined to come up with something special for its launch”, said Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. It seems he's had a spot of amnesia recently, having clearly forgotten the launch of GTA IV just under two weeks ago...

£80??? F**k me thats a bit pricey only a 6inch figure and an extra blu-ray disc with making off really bumps the price up, however I can already see many coming in saying 'Oh but that Halo 3 Legendary edition cost the same and you got a stupid dump helmet.' But then it only cost £70...
£80 = $160 I am sure the people in the US would collapse knowing we will soon be paying that.
Well good thing PS3 games are region free everyone get your pre-orders in from the USA f**k the UK as its not worth paying the prices for games here when you can get them region free from the US.
