Harmonix, MTV Games and Electronic Arts have revealed that they will release new tracks for
Rock Band on the Wii and PS2 on stand-alone discs in July.
The first Track Pack will contain 20 songs, including the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Ramones and Weezer. It will cost $29.99 (£15) and be released on July 15th in North America. Given that we only have a release date
confirmed for
Rock Band on the Xbox 360 so far in Europe, pricing and schedule details for the TrackPack are not available for the UK yet.
Alas, Wii and PS2 owners will not see anything in the way of bonus content not available on other platforms to make up for having to wait for fresh material. The announcement tells us, “All tracks are available as DLC on competing platforms”.
