Rock Band Xenophobic Fears Put to Rest
Gamers who spiralled into a panic about having to master French and German songs when the Europe-exclusive Rock Band tracks were confirmed yesterday can calm down. Harmonix has confirmed that players will not be forced to play them.

Phew - because those foreign button presses are really hard compared to English ones, innit.

Harmonix's Community Moderator has stated the following:

"Okay, update: they will be treated as DLC, so they won't have a specific tour or venue or anything, but they will be available to select for make-your-own and mystery set lists.

"And by 'venue' I mean basically that there won't be a specific set list dedicated to it."

So, there you have it. You won't have to master the lightweight Germanic Ramones-type stylings of Die Toten Hosen (The Dead Trousers)unless you really want to. You can find details of which tracks we'll get exclusively in Europe here.

What you will have to do, unfortunately, is shell out just shy of £180 if you want the game and all the kit to be had. If the same pricing structure applies for the Wii, we'll be paying the price of the console again.

If treated as DLC then that means that they WILL be forced to play them, if they come up as part of a Random Setlist in Band World Tour mode.
