Fiddy Cent Returns to PlayStation and Xbox

There's going to be blood on the sand...

Posted by Staff
50 Cent is returning to games with a sequel to 2005's 50 Cent: Bulletproof. This time, it sounds like he's not quite so impervious to hot lead, with the title being Blood on the Sand. Maybe we're wrong, maybe it's not his. But he does have a penchant for getting shot...

Joining Mr Cent as he makes his way onto the PS3 and Xbox 360 will be G Unit’s (Fiddy's record label) Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid.

Sierra (a division of Vivendi), which will publish the game, is careful to point out the fact that the PS3 and Xbox 360 game is “fictional”. SPOnG assumes that Senior Fiddy Pence doesn't want us thinking he actually goes round battling to protect his assets and extracting payments from crooked overlords...

“We are taking this sequel to the next level with exciting combat and gunplay, new original music, great graphics and a new story”, said 50 Cent in a sterile sort of way. “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will have everything my fans are looking for in a 50 Cent game.”

We're told by Vivendi that the game will feature “multi-player drop-in and drop-out co-op, interactive counter-kills, driving, and aerial combat.” It will also feature previously unreleased music from 10-Bob Bloke and G-Unit.

The game is being developed by Swordfish Studios which – aside from a host of rugby games – has worked on the PS2 espionage FPS Cold Winter and has Battlestations: Pacific on the way.

Blood on the Sand is being written by Kamran Pasha, Producer of Bionic Woman.

We can't wait for Eric B and Rakim vs Princess Peach ourselves.

It is what the market demands!

All praise the market!

I must apologise for the non-serious, video game-related nature of this news story though. We will return to seriousness in due course.

That is all.

As far as I can see, Fiddy's survival of nine gunshots provides proof that the damage game characters can take is realistic. I support him in all his endeavours. I may even buy one of his albums one day...
