The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), which gives video games in the US their age ratings, has classified Rockstar's
Grand Theft Auto IV 'M' for 'Mature'. This means that the game can be sold in large retail outlets and won't be kicked off consoles by the platform holders.
Rockstar's
Manhunt 2, which was recently allowed to go on sale in the UK, was
initially given an AO (Adults Only) rating, effectively preventing it from going on sale. Many retailers won't carry
AO games and the platform holders won't allow AO titles on their consoles.
The last sale of Take-Two shares yesterday was $24.92 (£12.59), $1.08 (£0.55) below Electronic Arts' per-share
offer to buy the company.
