We love rock'n'roll (put another 20p in the jukebox madam), we love video games, and we love genre battles. So, we looove the fact that - in the same week as rival EA's
Rock Band exclusive European tracklist 'slips' out (see below) - Activision launches a website aimed at getting your image into its
Guitar Hero III game.
Rawk'n'freakin'raaaawl!
According to the Release Your Rock Star site, all you have to do is, "Simply grab a tennis racket, cricket bat or whatever you have lying around and video yourself rocking out to the track of your choice and upload it for a shot at glory in our weekly video montage.
"None other than Motorhead legend Lemmy (we’re not worthy) will then be selecting the most soul-shattering performance. So strap on your Air-Gibson and show Lemmy what you’ve got. Extra points will be awarded for mojo and the depth of your gnarlyness, but remember - a true Rock Legend plays it from the heart."
The winner then gets flown not to some seedy south London studio to be soaked in MDMA and lager but to Neversoft's California studios there to be sucked into Guitar Hero somehow too technical for us to comprehend. It looks like a right proper giggle - you can find out more
here.
Back to EA's
Rock Band and the exclusive European track listing that website, Buttonbandits, managed to find on a table this weekend. The tracks for Europe are:

Tokyo Hotel
Through the Monsoon (English)
Muse
Hysteria (English)

The full list, apparently found on the table of an EA presentation is... nope, fair's fair,
Button Bandits has that.
