GTA IV: The Importance of Liberty

Were you getting concerned that Rockstar hadn't done anything all that controversial for a while? Maybe you feel that the developer isn't butting heads with the right people? Fear not! To brighten this dreary Monday, SPOnG has a couple of new GTA IV videos to make you smile and steer clear of New York's... sorry, Liberty City's finest.

First up, check out the recruitment video for the LCPD. SPOnG always thought police-work looked a bit nasty, but this vid makes it look thoroughly enjoyable. It does, however, touch on the strangely un-video game world of politics. Yes, for some reason, Rockstar wants us to believe that - just maybe - the role of the policeperson has changed from one of protecting and serving the public into one of acting as a population-controlling, para-military arm of the government! Ban this sick, Commie filth, says SPOnG while laughing out loud.

Next, we've got a look at Packie. No, this isn't Rockstar crossing the line into racism. This is Patrick 'Packie' McReary, hailing from a proud Irish lineage - much in the same way as Eire's famous goalkeeper.
