Okay, Electronic Arts has announced
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe and
The Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath Interior Design Stuff, for April release.
In the US, these have been given a rating of T (Teen) "with descriptors of Crude Humor, Sexual Themes and Violence" by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Review Board). We're pretty sure that you can also play the games in a pacific, asexual, and witty way though - which just goes to show that the review board appears to look for the lowest and most base responses from us innocent gamers.
The details of the new games are that
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe is aimed at introducing 'new fans' to
The Sims 2. Hold on, surely you can't be a fan until you've played the game? So, we're going to be very English about this and suggest that the game is there to introduce "people who haven't previously bought or played
Sims 2" - it's more long-winded, but at least it's accurate.
The Sims 2 Double Deluxe also contains
The Sims 2 Nightlife add-on,
The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff pack and a DVD - although we're not told what's on the DVD... we are told that it's a bonus.
Rod Humble, head of The Sims Studio, also wants to remind us about
The Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath Interior Design Stuff, which "gives players all the items they need to create the kitchens and bathrooms of their dreams".
The
Sims 2 Double Deluxe and
The Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath Interior Design Stuff are due out on April 15th.
