Sony's PS3 exclusive,
MotorStorm 2, is due out in time for Christmas this year...apparently.
The BBC - reporting from the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco - tells us the game "moves the action away from the desert locale of the original. Gamers will be able to race around a lush island environment, full of interactive vegetation."
Also mentioned is the fact that local four-player, split-screen action will be thrown in.
SPOnG has contacted Sony for confirmation, but no comment was available at the time of press.
That
MotorStorm 2 is coming is no big secret. Apart from the fact that Sony would have to be addled beyond belief to not produce a sequel, it was confirmed last year as the game's developer, Evolution Studios, was
bought up by Sony.
In other Sony news, the BBC was also told about a top-secret project which prompted the response, "we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion."
Guesses in the Forum, please.
