GTA IV Website Overhauled

Video and screen goodness inside!

Posted by Staff
Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV website - previously just a teaser - has received a massive overhaul and gone (in Rockstar's words) "official", bringing with it a veritable deluge of screens and media.

"Liberty City - Where the American Dream goes to die", the opening screen menacingly tells us. The American dream might die there, but if you have any interest in the upcoming blockbuster, you're going to find it positively delightful.

You'll find downloadable goodies such as screensavers and wallpapers, a news section and tonnes of new screens and videos. SPOnG's grabbed you a selection (well, all the videos, we couldn't help ourselves) to peruse below, but we suggest that you head over to the site for more.

There are also a tantalising couple of sections on the website still being held back. Scrolling over the headers 'multiplayer' and 'music' will reveal the cruel promise, "coming soon".

GTA IV, if you've been trapped in a cave since Christmas, is set for release on April 29th. Microsoft, apparently, already owns the launch...

You can catch SPOnG's latest preview of GTA IV right here.

I'm looking forward to all the big guns. I'm going to kick women in the head then shoot their babies. I really hope rockstar has made babies in this game. Then I'm going to shoot my parents, my sister, then I'm going to run down the road and shoot my best friend, then all of my class at school. I can't do this yet, though, as I haven't been influenced by the violence this game is obviously going to contain. Irony rules.

I also am looking forward to the radio stations... the adverts alone crack me up. There was one for "Little Lacy Surprise" that always had me in stitches.

Oh, and Microsoft's bagging of exclusive content has only made many PS gamers hate them all the more, rather than forcing them to buy a 360. This time next year Microsoft are going to look very silly indeed. I can't wait. I am so sick of hearing about them. They've polluted the gaming pool for too long now, with their filthy tactics. SO bloody American... they've got the technology; a nation of patriotic lunatics behind them; and the funding, so they think they can storm in and do what they please. But their arrogance just makes me despise them all the more. I wonder if Al Qaeda will ever release a console.

Sorry, I just woke up after a nice lie-in and my brain is malfunctioning. I need to reboot.
