The PC version of
Assassin's Creed will include additional content not seen in the console versions when it makes its way on to
hard drives at the end of March.
Specifically, PC gamers who have had to wait for the release will get, "four brand new exclusive types of investigations, thus providing even more ways for players to explore the various locations of the Third Crusade", according to Ubisoft. To mark the difference from the console versions, Ubisoft has opted to dub the PC version '
Assassin’s Creed, Director’s cut edition'.
No announcement would be complete without a fluffy corporate quote, so this time we've got John Parkes, EMEA (that's Europe, the Middle East and Africa, if you're bothered) Marketing Director at Ubisoft. “We are thrilled to bring
Assassin’s Creed to an eager PC audience and we anticipate the game will resonate with them just has it has across the other platforms”, he said. “
Assassin’s Creed is a game that must be experienced firsthand to fully understand how dynamic and meaningful this title has become for video game fans worldwide.”
