The Club: Problem Stains

Why white suits shouldn't be worn in combat

Posted by Staff
If there's one thing it takes to run around a combat zone wearing a white suit, it's great big (giant!) nads of steel. That's why SPOnG takes its hat off to Finn and celebrates him in this latest video from The Club.

Finn's a big gambler with bad debt and an even worse dry cleaning bill. He's been drafted into The Club and now (imagine Hollywood blockbuster trailer voice) the smart money is on him. If you can't get past the fact that he looks like a Miami Vice extra, don't feel bad.

The Club is set to hit UK shops on February 8th. Keep your eyes on SPOnG for a review soon. If you can't wait for 'soon' to arrive, you can find a preview here. You can get all the latest news, screens and artwork on SPOnG's dedicated game page.

I know you're gonna give this game amazing reviews even though loads of people hated it - www.n4g.com as per the comments against the demo.

So far the demos I have played are 99% of the time exactly the same as the full game since they are based on the final version anyways since they are out very close to release dates.

The Club is a mindless run, gun shoot humans, get points, get cash for killing humans.

If that is fun then the developers have lost the plot.

Yeah, but you don't "know" that, do you? No. You have many things, but I doubt you have 20/20 precognition.

Maybe I'm wrong... what number am I thinking of? I have just told Mark.

Personally, I don't enjoy that kind of game either. But then again, I don't enjoy Steven Segal flicks, car chases (unless I am involved), Forrest Gump, WWE (or RAW), American Football, Rugby Union, romantic comedy, gadget-perving or any form of pretentious foody 'foam'.

The developers are, however, simply pandering to the market that demands these kind of games - which I've not yet played actually... so shouldn't comment.

Could we all just please stop the SS4=Halo bullshit...now hari, you're not the first person to do this, so don't feel I'm only picking on you...but this is really, REALLY starting the piss me off.

It is not necessary to get from SS4 to idiot. Just take the express route, without detouring though Halo.

I'm not going to defend Halo, becasue Halo needs no defense...all y'all haters are just jealous bitches...

But allow me to reiterate SS4 being a gigantic douchebag and his liking Halo are mutually exclusive phenomenon. Motherfuckers better recognize. W0rd.

What's wrong with people liking stuff that other people don't like? It's all down to taste, isn't it? They say it's good, you say it's crap - who's right? No-one or everyone.

Opinions only really matter to the person making them. The best thing to do is read the reviews, play the demo, make your own judgemen. Try not to sound out against people whose views differ from your own - that's how wars are started, y'know.

If you want to discuss this further, you can find me in the high-street in a tie-dyed t-shirt giving out daisies to passers-by.

Who on earth let this tree-huggin', earth-lovin', obviously Communistic, alien-appeasin', open-minded, liberal, white-wine drinkin', womens' soccer-watchin', Tim Robbins'n'Susan Sarandon-appreciatin', bicycle-ridin' freak into a video games forum?!

Man alive! It is not allowable to appreciate video gaming holistically. Where would we all be if we were happy with what we bought and didn't have to turn that into slagging off everybody else!

If you love Communistic tree-hugging so much why don't you erm... move to Cuba and marry an elm - or maybe a larch? Yeah, larches rool! Elms are for lamer n00bs!

Cheers

...the larch...

Are you serious? Surely you can't be serious?

The larch is a frigging softwood! Your hardcore treehuggers are into rock maple (the stuff they make mitre boxes out of) or even ipê, that Brazillian bombshell of a hardwood...that s**t don't even float, and has the same fireproof rating as concrete.

...the larch...

indeed...

Actually, I think theres more than a few spots for hot hardwood action over there (called aceretums in the "scene"): Wakehurst Place Garden, Westonbirt Arboretum, Windsor Great Park, Winkworth Arboretum and Wisley Garden. All feature veritable harems of eligible maples, if you're into that sort of thing...course, for the ultimate maple experience, you have to go to Holland and the Esveld Aceretum...freaky...

Roi, I've like totally lost what little respect I had for you! Larix decidua (or the sexier, Larix kaempferi - sexier because it grows wild on the mountains of Honshu in Japan) rools over all other trees.

For gods' sakes, it's even a conifer but for a conifer it is most unusual in being deciduous!

And its cones (or strobili) are something else - have way better microsporophylls build quality than all others!!

If you like any other tree or even shrub, then you must be stupid is all I can say.

Hrumph!

Damn yes. There's no trait sexier in a tree than its ability to grow wild. F**k those trees that can only grow in captivity, requiring from us a song! How can we sing a tree song in a strange land?
