Virtual Console Gets Mega Top Fun

Mega Man and Top Hunter land on Virtual Console

Friday? Yes. Yes it is. As is the way for Fridays, Virtual Console for the Wii has a couple of retro gaming gems for your consumption.

The first is Capcom's Mega Man 2, screaming into the modern day from the NES and the year 1990. It has action. It has jumping. It has Mega Man once more doing battle with the evil Dr Wily as he unleashes eight new Robot Masters in an act of revenge against our hero. To win the day, players must take on each of the Robot Masters, nicking off with its signature weapon as they go. 500 Wii Points is what it'll cost you.

Next up its more robot madness with Top Hunter, originally released on the Neo Geo. Players take on the role of Roddy or Cathy, the bearers of double-hard names, as they battle across elemental worlds of forest, ice, wind and fire. Do it on your own or enjoy it with a friend, it's up to you. You've got extendible robot arms to do it with as you rub up against robot riding bosses. You can have it for 900 Wii Points.

This week's releases bring the Wii's running Virtual Console total up to 175 titles.

Yes! Mega Man, at last! The second one was an absolute classic.
