First screens inside

Time for a lesson in marketing games from Electronic Arts. Question: how do you tease the greatest possible amount of interest from the announcement of an upcoming game? Answer: Trickle out your platform confirmations over several weeks! A couple of weeks after it announced FIFA Street 3 for the 360 and PS3, EA has come out and confirmed that the title will get a DS release, too.

The DS version will, of course, feature touch screen controls for the game's crazy brand of over the top football heroics - what does that even mean?

Another DS-specific feature will be a mini-game called 'Kick-Ups'. Unsurprisingly, 'Kick-Ups' "will challenge you to keep the ball in the air and test your ball juggling skills - e.g. it's bloody keepy-uppy isn't it? Yes, it is.

If you need yet more DS-specific bang for your buck, EA's throwing in a region not available on other platforms: Africa so you can possibly do battle with some Kaiser Chiefs' fans.

Other than that, expect to see your favourite international footy stars getting up to gymnastic shenanigans all over the streets of the world, as with the game's console brethren.

So, we've got the DS announcement now. Surely one for the Wii can't be too far over the horizon?
