Ubisoft has announced that a patch is on the way to address the freezing issues in the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed. "This update will help improve the stability of the game and will be released as soon as possible", Ubisoft’s UK community manager stated in the official game forum.
SPOnG has put a call in to Ubi this very morning for more information on when the new patch is due and how it will be made available (we’re presuming via the PlayStation Network, so watch this space for confirmation on this shortly).
You can see Adam’s review of the 360 version of Assassin's Creed here – he pegged it as an enjoyable game but with a number of issues that kept it from being the new-gen classic we’ve been promised over the last eighteen months since Ubisoft first unveiled the project at E3 last year.
Having (still) not had playable PS3 code for the game, we can't actually offer any constructive comment.
